Sharon is an experienced litigator and trusted advisor who represents clients in a range of complex commercial disputes — including business tort, trade secret, and insurance coverage matters — in federal and state courts, as well as arbitrations and mediations.
As both in-house and outside counsel, Sharon has represented a diverse range of companies, from small and mid-sized businesses to multibillion-dollar corporations in the financial services, insurance, manufacturing, media, and energy industries. Her cases have been just as varied, with claims involving general commercial matters, contractual disputes, fraud, consumer fraud and environmental class actions, misappropriation of trade secret claims, and false advertising claims, as well as internal investigations and qui tam actions. Sharon has also counseled executive employees in connection with claims made by or against former employees relating to employment contracts and restrictive covenants.
Sharon excels at evaluating the legal and business elements of a dispute and providing strategic guidance that minimizes risk and charts the best course toward resolution — while ensuring alignment with the client’s mission and values.
Prior to joining Goodman Law Group | Chicago, Sharon practiced at several large law firms and also served as senior litigation counsel for two publicly traded corporations. She also clerked for the Honorable Harold Baer, Jr. of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.
